Ultimate Malteser Slice


This is so delicious - once you have the basic chocolate mixture you could add anything you like. Maltesers are pretty hard to beat though.


300g chocolate*
90g unsalted butter
1 x 15ml tbsp golden syrup
Family sized bag of Maltesers

*I used 250g milk and 50g dark.


Line a 35x20cm rectangle tin with cling film.

Get the butter and the golden syrup melting on a low heat in a heavy based pan and break up the chocolates and add that to the golden sludge.

Smash the maltesers up so you have some bits and some whole.

When the chocolate mixture has just melted, add the maltesers and stir together.

Pour into prepared tin, and put in the fridge to cool.
