Thai Beef

Serves: 6-8

This Thai beef is a very tasty and flavoursome. Serve this Thai beef with salad.


Beef eye fillet - 25-30cm

1 Bunch coriander -chopped
1 large onion - chopped
4-5 garlic cloves
2-4 chilli (to taste)
2 sprig mint chopped
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp Hoisin Sauce
1 teaspoon sugar to taste (1 teaspoon)
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
juice 4 limes


Combine and whisk together soy sauce , Hoisin sauce, sugar, balsamic vinegar and lime juice

Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill pan on high. Cook steak on grill for 2-3 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover with foil and set aside for 10 minutes to rest.

Place the onion, chilli, mint and coriander leaves in a large bowl.

Thinly slice steak across the grain and add to the salad.

Drizzle with remaining dressing and gently toss to combine. Divide salad among bowls and serve immediately.
